Dear Patient –Infection control has always been a top priority for the Surgical Center of Greater Annapolis, Inc. We follow infection control recommendations made by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Maryland Department of Health (MDH)
Prior to your arrival to the center:
If you have a fever/have had a fever within the last 14-21 days, have shortness of breath or a cough, have flu-like symptoms such as gastrointestinal upset, headache or fatigue, have recently experienced loss of taste or smell, are in contact with any confirmed COVID-19 positive patients, or have traveled to any regions affected by COVID-19 in the last 14 days please reschedule your appointment by phone
In addition to our regular strict infection control protocols we have implemented the following:
Staff and patient screening protocols and taking of temperature upon arrival

Proper updated air filtration protocols in the Operating room

Ongoing decontamination between patients

Additional PPE
We kindly ask that you follow our new protocols listed below:
You will be called 2-5 business days prior to your surgery by a nurse to ask some screening questions during your preoperative phone call. Please come to your appointment wearing a mask. It will be required to be granted access to the building.
When you are called 2-5 business days prior to your surgery you will be given an arrival time, please do not come any earlier. If you are new to our surgical center please arrive with all registration forms filled out (forms can be found at www.scga.us), your insurance card, photo id, payment card, & eye drops (if indicated)
